Alberto Ortiz, MD, is a fellowship trained Anterior Segment surgeon specializing in the treatment of external disease, cornea, and glaucoma among other eye conditions. Dr. Oriz, as a specialist in ophthalmology for laser vision correction, DSAEK, corneal transplantation and cataract surgery combined with ECP LASER and premium/life style lens, delivers unsurpassed care to his patients.
Dr. Ortiz received his medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine, graduating Magna Cum Laude; and performed his internship at the University District Hospital in San Juan, P.R. He completed his residency training at Puerto Rico Medical Center, specializing in ophthalmology and was selected to perform his fellowship at "Associates in Ophthalmology" in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania focusing on cornea, cataract and refractive surgery.
With his combination of education, training and experience, he provides his patients access to the latest in cutting-edge therapies and technologies. Dr. Ortiz is glad to join Visual Health Specialists in Sight and is available to see patients in the Lake Worth office.
